communication between 2.4ghz and 5ghz networks
I'm using both the 2.4Gghz and 5 ghz bands with different SSIDs. I can't see how to allow a printer on the 2.4ghz band to communicate with a laptop on the 5ghz band. Other articles have pointed to disabling wlan partition, however this does not appear to be an option on this router. Any suggestions would be greatly apprecitated.

While the bands/SSID's are different there isn't any setting to change, you should be able to communicate with wired and both WIFI bands. The only exception is if you're using guest network.
If for some reason you cannot, then I would focus on firewall settings on those devices trying to print.

Thanks searay. Turns out it was the network sharing settings on the laptop. Once I opened up the LAN sharing it works just fine.
