Compatability

I have just acquired a Facebook Portal which works fine when linked directly to my router.  However when used too far away I link it with the above extender and although I am getting a connection with the extender the Portal does not link to the internet.  THe extender has always (and still does) worked fine with our our phones, ipad, etc.

Is this a compatability issue and what can be done to use the Portal throughout the house.
