Configuring AC1750 R6400 on static network
I just started working with an office whose network has a Sonic firewall with DHCP disabled. All computers and printers have static IP addresses. I want to add a wireless router to the network whic...

Thanks for the suggestions and the warnings. I worked with Netgear support, but was never able to get the AC1750 setup on the static network. The Soho firewall died this week and we had to replace the firewall so I enabled DHCP and configured the AC1750 as an AP.

Oh, I assumed that the router would accept a 0/0 route. That's too bad. After more consideration, I think you should not bother following my original recipe. For one thing, unless you are the head of the IT department, searay has a point in that it would be ill-advised to introduce your own router into the office network. Companies usually have pretty strict policies about introducing networking gear into a network. Your router could be become a vector for hacking into the network. For another thing, my original suggestion would have resulted in adding a DHCP server that was accessible from any wired device in the network. That's probably not what you want.
Also, is it okay to leave the DHCP set to the 192.168.1.1 network to leave the wireless devices on a different network than the office computers?
If you really need to get something working (and it's ok with the head of IT), just connect the R6400's Internet port to the network. Make sure to configure the LAN subnet to be different from the company's subnet. Wireless devices will be able to access office resources, but not vice versa. I hope that's ok with you.
