Details are key to helping out.
1. what router do you have?
2. what firmware is on it?
3. what modem/gateway is it connected to?
4. from the sound of it, you're connecting to the router but the router isn't connecting to your gateway. So details on that are key.
- MolliekSep 30, 2021AspirantHi. Thanks for responding! I have a modem from optimum my internet provider, I believe it says Arris on the side. And the router is a nighthawk r7450. I have no idea about firm wear or how to find that out! Any help is appreciated!!

What arris is it? Look at the model number on the label.
When you're logged into the r7450's gui (browser based login), the firmware will be on the status page
- MolliekSep 30, 2021AspirantOk. I'll take a look at the Arris info. Also I tried to log into the router with the up address I found on the laptop when I did that "ipconfig" thing. It didn't seem to work. Sorry, I'm really new with all this! Could I have done it wrong!? Thank you again for helping!
