Connecting Router
Background:
1) I believe I have V1 since nothing says V2 on my unit.
2) I have a Arris cable modem provided by Brighthouse/Spectrum connected to a Netgear router. I had wired the router to my R6300 as a remote AP. All worked fine. I replaced the Netgear router with a Norton CORE. All worked fine.
Question : how do I describe this type of connection? It is not a wireless bridge. I just plugged it in and it worked. I cannot search this topic effectively because I don't know how to describe it.
Fair enough. I have seen multiple questions get lost on on other forums. I thought this would be easier for everyone. Thanks for the feedback. I will move to "Accessing a connected router"

Once is usually enough:
Accessing a Connected Router - NETGEAR Communities
Let's stick with that one.
