D1500 no connection to internet after reset

I'm having trouble with my modem after reseting it. The internet LED light has been black since the reset. When trying to set it up, the process gets stuck on "no connection to internet". I have been able to connect to the wifi with one of my phones and a computer, but not with a chrome cast. When I'm logged in to the router it says that there is internet error, the ip-adress is just a bunch of zeros. I have downloaded the lastest firmware. I have tried to reset it several times and to power cycle, it still doesn't work. When I plug the computer directly into "the wall", there is no problem with the internet connection. Does any one have any suggestions on what to do?
