after the update, did you ever try a factory reset and reinstall?
Sometimes firmware changes enough a factory reset can help after an upgrade.
Thats usually where we recommend people start

Hi. I reinstalled the lastest 1.0.0.72 firmware, did a factory reset and reinstall and the router has locked up completely twice in two days - with the latest firmware only being used for two days on latest attempt. There is definitely something wrong with 1.0.0.72 as the previous 1.0.0.68 was rock solid for a week between trying 1.0.0.72 twice.

could simply be something unstable in it for your device then.
sounds like the downgrade is the option for you.

Does anyone know a contact email for Netgear support or is there a Moderator on here that feeds back firmware issues to Netgear technical support? I'm not looking for support directly but I'd hope Netgear would want to know of firmware problems so they can be fixed. Shame I cannot find any contact details but that seems the way Netgear want it.
