Download updates from an iPad
Can I download updates from an iPad for my older wndr3400v3; I don't have a computer. I was told by my internet service tech I need a new router.
You can update over wifi using the browser.
Do we recommend it? not really as when we see corrupt firmware issues its when done over wifi or the app.
But you can always try it.
What version of the fimrware are you on?
What internet speeds do you pay for?
that router is a pretty old/slow router so an upgrade might be a good idea depending on your internet speeds.

A new router would also mean that you can get one that works with the Nighthawk app for mobile devices, which makes it easier to manage without a PC.
The wndr3400 predates those apps and their attempts to make routers more user friendly.
