Enabling 5g router band for wndr3800
How do I enable the 5g band of my router so that it shows up among the networks to which I can connect ?
Log into your router and go to Basic > Wireless. Make sure Enable SSID Broadcast is checked. If you have never set up the 5 GHz band before, then set the SSID name and password. It's strongly recommended to use WPA2 security.
Go to Advanced > Advanced Setup > Wireless Settings and make sure Enable Wireless Router Radio is checked.
Finally, any devices attempting to connect to the router at 5 GHz must, of course, support operation at 5 GHz. Otherwise, the 5 GHz band won't appear on those devices.
