Hi, and thank you for the recommendation! The only outlet I know of is Amazon. Maybe newegg? I'm definitely willing to go with a refurbished device.
Thanks again!

I personally am leery at buying a used/renewed electronic device as you never know what you are going to get. You may get something that had no issues and was returned, or you may get the opposite, but to each his own.

I've bought quite a few renewed/refurb devices. The nice thing about going with amazon is usually there's an option to buy a warranty, and if there's issues, you can always return it in their return window. Its not like a car where someone was abusing it. Usually routers work or they don't. there doesn't tend to be much in between. So if you get one that works, awesome.

Yes, and you could be correct they could be fine, and they make work alright for a while, but heat and use is the enemy of electronic devices which is why I stay away from used devices, because I don't know how long they have been used and abused and renewed usually doesn't mean much when it comes to electronic devices, other than being cleaned a bit. For me, I am just not comfortable taking that chance.

And thats where the warrany comes in IF you think its a gamble. $12 for a 4 year warranty for a $70 router. So a total of $82. Still pretty cheap and 4 years if something goes wrong. But feel free to buy it new for $190. I think I'd gamble on that one because in 4 years, it'll probably be time for an upgradeto either a Wifi 8 device or last gens wifi 7 device

Hi, I'm generally leery in that way, too. It's a crap shoot. With my luck, I'll get the 1-in-a-1000 dud. I'm not the savviest of techies. Wouldn't want to mess with all the troubleshooting. I'm too busy protesting. Many thanks.

Well, I hope whatever device you decide to get it works well for you. A new wi-fi 7 capable device will definitely be a difference for you.
