EOS - need new device for my network

EOS doesn't mean that it needs to be retired. It just means it doesn't get any further updates that aren't critical and there isn't hardware to replace it. I have several famiy members using stuff from Wifi 5 on up that still works great and doesn't need to be changed.
You can feel free to upgrade to something later but I'd keep in mind, your service is only 150mbps. Pretty much most of the RAX line would be fully capable for quite a while up to gigabit service without issues.
You can for sure get the newer BE stuff. But I wouldn't always push it. I've use the RS600 and have a RBE970 and they aren't any faster than my prior RAXE500 or RBKE963. And I have over 100 devices on my network with 2 gig service. So your 150mbps, would be fine
I do agree with Plemans that there is no need to rush with an EOL product. You can find some good deals at the end of the year or during Cyber Monday/BF sales and get what you want to get at a better price. There is also the option of using 3rd party firmware that is still supported, but I personally can't say how well or safe that firmware is, although some people use them.
Ultimately, it is up to you what you want to do, and you should take all of our advice with a grain of salt, because what works for us or what we are comfortable with may not be what you are comfortable with or work for you.
