ethernet connected to computer= internet; ethernet connected to ac1600= no internet. Help.
We have two routers, number one rounter connected to our city internet, then we connected our number two rounter to number one. (number one is infront of house while number two is in back of house, so all of the house has a wifi connection).
It worked fine, then number two stopped showing it is connected to number one. We checked the ethernet cable from #one to #two, when we connected ethernet cable from #one to computer, we have internet but when we connect it to #two, it shows no internet. I tried all the trouble shooting, plugging ethernet cable into different port then back, turning off and on, and factory reset, nothing helped. Please help. Thank you.

What are the model #s of these routers?
It's not recommended to have two routers on the same line at the same time.

We was running = city internet -> R6700 AC1750 -> R6700 AC1750 but second AC1750 stopped working.
We thought the second AC1750 quit working, we went to exchange it, but the store was out and we bought R6260 AC1600.
City internet -> R6700 AC1750 -> R6260 AC1600 but AC1600 will not even show it is connected to internet at all.
What mode is the 2nd router using? Router or AP mode. AP mode would be recommended.
Try a factory reset on the 2nd router and then configure AP mode. If this doesn't solve anything, possible the 2nd router is just faulty.
