What router are you connecting it to?
Are you setting it up using wps or using the installation assistant?

Hi Plemans, thank you for your quick reply!
I am using the router provided by my carrier:
Technicolor MediaAccess DGA4131FWB
and setting it up with the installation assistant

I couldn't find much info on that router (never a good sign)
A couple things you can try.
1. update the firmware on that extender. Looks a couple behind
2. setup the extender with a static ip address in your router

The EX6150 has an access point mode if you hardwire it into the router.
Not sure the specs on your router but you could always see how that performs in comparision.
