How can a customer get live chat or voice support gform NetGear? This is maddening to get acces to articles when I have a brand new extender and it's not syncing with my router, nor can it set up through the bowser. Should I jsut return it and get a different brand?

If you want support directly from netgear (and your within the 90 days of free support), click on "mynetgear" at the top. register an account and the device. from there you can contact netgear support. Don't google for support numbers or you'll end up with scam/con numbers.
