My main device is netgear R6120.i want to extend its network..but i was unable to find main device name on my tp link router,which i wanted to use as range extender..

Hard to follow what is going on there.
I take it that your main router is the R6120.
Are you trying to use the tp link router as a wireless repeater with a wifi link between the two devices?
Have you confirmed that this tp link router supports that mode.? (Not all do.)
If so, have you configured the tp link to work as a repeater/bridge?
The R6120 is a basic router. I see no sign that it can participate in a repeater chain.
By the way, according to Netgear's manual for this device, not always the most reliable source of information, the LAN and WAN support only 10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX. That makes it slower than many newer internet services and most modern network hardware.It may well be slower than your other router, which from what I can find about the tp link archer c6, could support the more modem 1000 Mbps standard.
