External USB storage not working on R7800

I'm having similar issues. Up unitl few months back, I was able to use both USB ports (1TB WD drive and 2TB WD drive). After a certain FW update, I do not recall which version ,USB ports no longer work.
I've done factory reset as well as updated to latest FW(*.78 version) but no luck so I've asked netgear support to issue RMA. I've spent multiple hours chasing down tech support agents. L1 agents are useless IMO.
