So some interesting information
- yesterday thermostat would join iPhone hotspot named “iPhone”
- today thermostat would not join SSId with & symbol in it.
- removed & and the thermostat connects.
I found this information below on the internet.

If you’re receiving invalid wi-fi password error when you try to connect to Wi-Fi, please confirm the following:
No special characters have been used in your WiFi network name (SSID) – reset and rename it if necessary.

Try setting up a phones hotspot with the same ssid/password as the router. Then shut off the orbi, setup the thermostat with the hotspots ssid (same as mesh systems ssid). Once setup, shut off the hotspot and turn on the router.

Then set my phone as the hotspot with the same pw and ssid.
See if it will connect to the hotspot , then turn hotspot off and turn orbi on
