File Save not working with ReadyShare, Windows 11 and Microsoft Office

I attached a hard drive to the USB port on my R6400 router and setup ReadyShare.  It works great with everything but Microsoft Office. Microsoft Office tries to save the file and it looks like it it saving, but a get a "File not Saved" error at the end. I saw a similar post with no answers. I was unable to add a comment to that post though.

I did set up the drive as a trusted location in Office, but that didn't help.

I thought this would be a great way to share a drive on my network and was very excited to implement it. This Office save problem will keep me from implementing ReadyShare though and a Linux based NAS just doesn't work for me. I sure hope I can get this working because I am unware of any other easy/inexpensive options.

Thanks for your help!

Odd, So far Microsoft Word doesn't seem to have the save problem. Only Excel has demonstrated the save problem so far.

Just tried Word and Excel. Both are fine here.

Have you taken the router through the steps needed to make the drives available through \\readyshare?

Then again, Microsoft keeps changing its security processes to protect us from ourselves

I have narrowed it down to an Excel Macro issue. I went to the Excel Trust Center and edited the settings for macros, but it didn't help. I am going to do more research on Excel macro files on network drives and see if I can find a solution.
