Firmware version inconsistency
Running the Netgear Genie web application when I check for a later firmware version with Advanced | Administration | Router Update I am told that I have the latest firmware. The firmware that is show...

You don't have an ordinary R6300v2; yours is special. There have
been some discussions of how to load ordinary firmware onto a device
which currently runs ISP-specific firmware ("CH" or "SH"), with mixed

A Web or forum search for your current firmware version should find
others.

I am a Charter subscriber. I did not realize that Charter has their own model separate from the normal Netgear models. I have no need to upgrade the firmware if I do indeed have the latest Charter firmware version.
