You won't lose dual band nor speed settings. Just it will be different firmware.If you run into any issues just let me know and I'll assist you.
If you're fed up with it before you replace it you should try the third party firmware called dd-wrt on it since that router is on the list where you can use dd-wrt firmware on it. Might solve your wifi issue. Just my 10 cents.
