FS116 unmanaged switch.
Hello All
A FS116 unmanaged switch when powered and no ethernet cables are connected the left LED's on all ports is lit and the power led.
Is this normal or should they all be off with no ethernet cables connected.
The power supply powers the device as in all the LED's light up.
No amount of trying too connect with different rthernet cables makes any difference and the connected device does not connect.
I am thinking it is no good and should now really throw it away as it is about 10 years old.
Can anybody confirm this.
Mark Deacon.
Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the LAN Switch products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with Switch products and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this router forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:
