GS305v3 Ports
I understand that I need to connect the input from my modem/router to one port, and all outputs to other devices to the other ports. Which port (1-5) should I use for the input from my modem/router? ...

For someone like me, who is ignorant of switches, etc., it would have been nice if the manual (such as it is) actually said that it doesn't matter which ports are connected to what device. Saying nothing is not the same as having nothing to say. Just because you are an IT geek doesn't mean everyone else is.

True, but having nothing to say is a good reason to say nothing.

point where more detail is a senseless waste. Netgear product
documentation could certainly use improvement, but I don't recall ever
seeing a car owner manual explaining which way to turn the steering
wheel to make a right turn. Or which way "Reverse" pointed.
