Half Speed issues with AC1000
Just activated my Spectrum account in FL, connecting wired directly to cable modem gives purchased 200+Mbps speeds. When I connect the router and connect my laptop speeds are cut in half, both wired...

Pretty sure all the AC1000 routers aren't gigabit routers.
they've only got 10/100mbps ports on them.
so the fastest speed you'll get is going to be that 94mbps (ish).
But like FURRYe38 says, what actual model is it?
There's a support site with access to manuals, firmware, install guides, etc.
Go to https://www.netgear.com/support/
Type in your model number and from there it'll take you to the above.
Its a great resource to start with. And its data sheet and manual will go over what ports and speeds the model supports.

There is only one Netgear AC1000 router that I can find. It is the R6080, pretty well the bottom of the Netgear range. As you say, it has "Fast Ethernet ports". That really means slow ports, stuck as 100 Mbps.
So ThomasfromFL isn't going to get 200 Mbps out of this router. It is amazing that Netgear even released this device in 2017, it is about a decade behind the industry Gigabit Router standard.

Wouldn't that be why they called is the AC1000? Then it should be the AC100

The AC speed is the wireless rating of combining the 2.4ghz and the 5ghz speed.
But you bought a router with only 10/100mbps ports.
So that is the bottleneck in your speed.

It wasn't visible on your first message.
Thanks for adding it.

Manual states "download speeds up to 1000Mbps

That's wifi.
But the data sheet says:
WiFi speeds up to 300+700Mbps†
Even then it is economical with the reality.
It also refers to local wifi speeds. Between two devices connected to each other over wifi.
It will never get that on an Internet connection. As plemans explained, the wired bit can't manage anywhere near that
