Not a very detailed description of that device. With my weak psychic
powers, and no actual model number, it's tough to guess whether a
JGS524Ev2 would be a suitable replacement.

Not a terrible description of the bracket. But who cares?
If the old switch was unmanaged, then a managed switch might provide
capabilities which you don't need.

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least). Read.

Yes I will return the Netgear Switch for a refund and buy another brand haha, who would want to be associated with a company that has people like you supporting them!
