Help choosing a wifi extender
My cable modem (Netgear CM500V) and wireless router (Netgear R6200 Smart WiFi Router) are in the basement. I currently have a Netgear WiFi Range Extender Model EX6100 on the floor above the basement...

1. Either of the extender's will work with your setup.
2. It is recommended to connect the extender to the main router's WiFi rather than another extender's.
3. It is optimal to locate the extender where it will still get a good signal from the main router.
4. The main difference between the two is the that the EX6150 provides bigger bandwidth on the 5GHz (900Mbps to 450Mbps).
