How to find my WNDR3700 Version (goes from 1 to 5)
Try to determine wich WNDR3700 version I have to find out if I should update the firmware.
My firmware version is V1.0.7.98. I Have seen that differents wewer version are available depending of...

Look at the product label. Plain "WNDR3700" with no "vX" suffix is
"v1".

That seems to be consistent with "v1" (only). (And there is a newer
firmware version for that hardware.)
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Downloads. (For older versions, under Firmware and Software
Downloads, look for "View Previous Versions".) Find the kit(s).
Download the kit(s) you want. Read the "Release Notes" file for
instructions.
Normally, the "Release Notes" file is available from the "Firmware
and Software Downloads" web page, but, in this case, you apparently need
to download the kit, extract its contents, and get the "Release Notes"
file that way.
Whether the newer firmware solves your problem is a different
question, of course.
