How to set my dual band router to 2.4GHz only for connection to wifi printer.

I bought a wifi printer which only support 2.4GHz wifi connection and it cannot be connected to my Netgear router. The technical support from the printer advise me to use only 2.4GHz for connection first and then enable back to dual band after connection. My question is - How to set the route to 2.4GHz only

Not a very detailed description of anything.

What happens when you try?  What, exactly, did you do?  What,
exactly, happened when you did it?

Sounds (to me) unlikely to help, but...

You should be able to disable/enable the 5GHz radio.

Visit http://www.netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and
look for Documentation.  Get the User Manual.  Read.

Using the router's web interface: ADVANCED > Advanced Setup >
Wireless Settings : Enable Wireless Router Radio (one for each radio).

      Thanks. It works.

The Canon printer can find the SSID after I disabled the 5Ghz.

It works without any more problem even after re-enable the 5Ghz.

You don't. If the printer works only at 2.4 GHz it won't see the 5 Ghz.

Telling the router to turn off the 5 GHz is just the support person's way of saying "I don't know what I am doing".

Printer problems usually come down to getting the printer's settings right. The router just sits there delivering wifi.

I have a Canon wifi printer. It comes with a software utility that is supposed to set up the wifi. It is a nightmare.

My advice is to find a support forum for your printer and ask for help there.
