I am not even getting one third of the speed
I have a NETGEAR C3000-100NAS on Comcast 400Mpbs deal. But when I test internet speed on my android phone sitting next to the modem, it reads 40mpbs I used to have 100Mpbs deal and yesterday I up...
2.4ghz is a slow network. it won't even hit the 100mbps that you had.
The 40mbps is more along the lines of how fast 2.4ghz is.
And the c3000 is single band. Meaning there isn't a 5ghz band to connect to (which is a faster wifi).
Plus, its not rated to the speeds you're paying for.
so,
1. tests its speed hardwired. and see what you get
2. upgrade. its not even rated to the speeds you're paying comcast for and even if its "up to 340mbps", its doubtful that it'll hit those speeds. I believe comcast only provisions it for something like 150-200mbps. (not 100% on that though)
