I've been told by my isp that they push out firmware updates to their customers. Will the Netgear offering cause our isp connection to fail if the firmware does not match our isp's specs? Or is this...

Firmware updates pushed out by your ISP is usually for the device/s (modem/modem-router) that they provide. The firmware update for your NETGEAR router should not affect your connection. We recommend proceeding with the update. The links below may help out.

This has been a frustrating and useless exercise. Netgear's system keeps asking me to "To view this page, you must log in to www.routerlogin.net.:80.: but the login won’t accept my netgear passwords. I update my passwords and it still won’t accept them.
As I cannot use my passwords to get this firmware uploaded, I have wasted over an hour trying to get this to work. Netgear should make this easy for your customers. Last time I buy their products.
