Incoming Connection Problem

cannot share files\folders on one networked computer. Running Win7. When troubleshooting incoming connections windows report's "More than one device is performing network address translations (NAT). My modem is performing (NAT) .... how do I put my router in bridge mode? (Router- WNDR4000).

  • Hi Seeink Normally, it's the modem that should be set in bridge mode.

You don't want your router be in bridge mode unless you want your router to act as an Access Point.

  • Thank you for your reply. I put the modem in bridge mode and it solved my issue that connection.

How can you bridge the modem? Maybe you meant bridging the router/combined with the modem.

Some modems have built-in router.(modem and router)
