Internet access to EE (UK ISP) is recently intermittent and keeps droping out

Are they both running the same firmware?
What version is it on?

They were both been running the same firmware version when the problem first started but I have now installed the latest version (V1.0.0.108_1.0.108) on one one of them but it still has the same problem.
It seems to me that it is a setting that EE have recently changed or added and either there is no setting for it on my Netgear model or the setting I have is now wrong. I have compared the settings between the EE router and the Netgear routers and all looks the same but the list of the settings on the EE router is limited, even in the Advanced settings tab, so I can't compare everything.
EE are unable to help as the don't support third party routers.
One comment I read was with the BB login name but this is the same on all the routers, and also I do get Internet access occasionally but it just drops out and back in again all the time. I have a bash script running continuously checking external access so I have a log of when the dropouts occur. There are none when connected to the EE router.
I suppose I could do with speaking to Netgear about this. Anyone know how to do this?
