Your new internet service is faster than your router.
According to Netgear's manual for this device, not always the most reliable source of information, the LAN and WAN ports support only 10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX. At 100 Mbps that makes it slower than many newer internet services and most modern network hardware.

The only solution is to replace your router with one that supports Gigabit Ethernet.
The R6120 is pretty well the bottom of the Netgear range. The surprise is that it still sold this thing in2019. Gigabit Ethernet has been the standard for routers since around 2010. As you have discovered 100 Mbps is slower than many ISPs deliver.
