Invalid R6300v2 firmware R6300v2-V1.0.4.8_10.0.77

Hi Southpaw2,

1. Does the issue persist when you bypass the router and connect straight to the modem?

2. Please make sure that the ports are forwarded if there are any. You can contact the manufacturer to verify.

I did use the browser interface as stated originally. I just returned the item to the vendor. I had a through wire speed of 80 MBps and the router would only provide 35 to 45 MBps at best WiFi. Thanks for your help. Hope someone else can benefit from this. I'm done.

Hi,

I'm also receiving same error 'This firmware file is incorrect! Please get the firmware file again and make sure it is the correct firmware for this product. ' Last version I've on router is V1.0.3.48_10.0.85.

Do I need to install all upgrade after my last version or should I upgrade to latest?

The latest version for the R6300v2 is Firmware Version 1.0.4.8.

Remember, if you download it from the website it comes as a zipped file that you have to unzip to get the .chk file.

And ensure that you get the right file for the right version of the R6300.

There is no V1.0.3.48 for the R6300v2. Maybe you have something else.
