Keep getting "end of life" emails and cannot opt out.
So, apparently I used to have a router (perhaps?) and I am getting emails to an old address (but still occasionally used)... But there's no 'opt out' and I've tried to login to Netgear.com with that ...

Try NG support. Otherwise, they should stop.
See if anything can be removed from your NG account profile if your device is seen there.
