You will most likely have to play with AP (or router) position. There should be a slight wireless overlap between router and Access Point, so that a handoff can actually occur. Mostly, wireless clients are the issue, as some clients stick (hang on) to a wireless signal, until it fades to nothing. Don't expect miracles with consumer grade networking hardware.

I just installed a Ubiquity unifi wireless solution. A cloud key controller and two AC WAP's. Androids Intel and iDevices are roaming like champs!
