LB1120 doesn't have any APN profiles, won't save new ones

I recently bought the LB1120 using a cricket data only SIM card. When I power the modem up the power LED stays solid amber with 4 signal bars lit up solid green. I plugged the modem directly into my computer, logged in, and it is registering the Cricket SIM but only showing 3G with the internet disconnected. I checked the APN profile tab and there is no APN profile loaded, tried creating one using Cricket's APN information but the profile doesn't appear in any list when I save it. I stayed on the phone with "Customer Support" for 2.5 hours, was transferred three times, didn't talk with anyone other than to be told "wrong department" and finally gave up. Any help is appreciated
