Manually updating firmware version or use the genie?
we have a WNR2000v5|N300 Wifi Router, and the firmware is 1.0.0.34. According to the website, the latest version is 1.0.0.80 https://www.netgear.com/support/product/WNR2000v5.aspx#download
However, when i log in to the _Advanced Settings_ page, and use the genie to check for updates, it says it's already running the latest version.
Should I manually download the new version and install it? or trust the genie and leave it alone?
Genie isn't the best at updating firmware.
Also, when we see corrupt firmware issues, it tends to be from when people auto-update or use the app/wifi for updating. The most stable route is when you update manually. We see the least amount of errors/issues that route.

thanks for the quick response! any insights to why do it manually? because i've never updated manually before, and don't want the hassle in case something goes wrong since it seems like a big jump in version (34 -> 80) (but then again idk why genie is not showing the latest available version
