Media Server Help Please
Hi everyone,
I have an RAX200 router and an EAX80 extender.
I have connected an external harddrive into the USB port of the extender.
I'm now able to watch movies from the harddrive on my smart TV.
Is there a way to use PLEX with this setup as I've heard that it makes the UI look better and can have more options? I don't have a desktop/computer I can leave on all the time though.
Is there a way to activate subtitles when watching these movies? On my computer I can obviously select to turn on subtitles, but I haven't found a way to do this from a TV?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Is the EAX80 configured as a media server?

While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:
Nighthawk Routers with WiFi 6 (AX) - NETGEAR Communities
You might like to search there for messages related to your problem.
I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.
In the meantime you could visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.
Check for various troubleshooting tips.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
