yeah . . say, i did try chnaging to ch 1. We will see how that goes in the next day or 2. OK?? I mean if I could switch to 5 Ghz that would be great .. but I did chnage the channell. I noticed all my neighbors are normally between 6 and 8. So I will give 1 a try . .

Your WNDR3400 is a dual band router, so switch any devices to 5 GHz, if they are capable. Microwave ovens nominally operate around 2.45 GHz, which is around channel 8. Try using channel 1, provided that it's not too heavily used by neighboring Wi-Fi networks.

What do you mean by switch any devices to 5 Ghz?? I guess I cant do that because it is interfering with the wifi going to my ROKU. This makes it so I cant use the microwave and the ROKU at the same time. I will try chnaging to ch 1 as you sugested. I just hope it will work good enough for the rOKU.

Your WNDR3400 has two Wi-Fi networks, one that broadcasts in the 2.4 GHz band and another in the 5 GHz band. Many devices, such as laptops and smartphones are capable of operating in either of these frequency bands. My suggestion was for you switch those devices to use the 5 GHz network. If the 5 GHz network is not enabled in your WNDR3400, then turn it on and set a Wi-Fi password on it.
What's the model of your Roku? Some of their models can operate at 5 GHz.

The ROKU is 4230X ROKU 3
Would using 5 Ghz affect my Netgear extender??
