Model WNDR3400v3 Firmware V1.0.1.4 The microwave keeps interfering. I have the channell selction at auto. Often it is on Ch 8. What can I do to eliminate microwave interference??

yeah . . say, i did try chnaging to ch 1. We will see how that goes in the next day or 2. OK?? I mean if I could switch to 5 Ghz that would be great .. but I did chnage the channell. I noticed all my neighbors are normally between 6 and 8. So I will give 1 a try . .

Your WNDR3400 has two Wi-Fi networks, one that broadcasts in the 2.4 GHz band and another in the 5 GHz band. Many devices, such as laptops and smartphones are capable of operating in either of these frequency bands. My suggestion was for you switch those devices to use the 5 GHz network. If the 5 GHz network is not enabled in your WNDR3400, then turn it on and set a Wi-Fi password on it.
What's the model of your Roku? Some of their models can operate at 5 GHz.

The ROKU is 4230X ROKU 3
Would using 5 Ghz affect my Netgear extender??

It looks like the Router 5 Ghz is on. It says it is on Ch 153.

Yes, if you want your extender to extend 5 GHz.
Is your Roku currently connecting through your extender?

Changing to ch 1 solved the microwave interference problem. Thank you very much!
