Minecraft Port Fowarding
So I have a D6220 router (not an option to put in for some reason) I’ve been trying to forward my ports to play minecraft (25565) with my friends for at least 2 days now, I’ve watched videos and done ...

The _numbers_. The actual _numbers_. Not "like xxx.xx.xx.xx" or
"the number i get when i search for my public IP". The actual
_numbers_. I don't even need _all_ of them; the first half would be
fine:> [...] "a.b" out of "a.b.c.d" would be enough.

If your ISP is using carrier-grade NAT, then your router will not get
a public WAN/Internet IP address, and so you will not be able to make
port forwarding work.
You could try asking your ISP if you can get a public address. They
might charge extra for that, if they'll do it at all. Some ISPs dislike
servers for residential customers.

I’ve checked them all, one was similar but they had a modem and router separately but I just have one, if it’s a router modem combo what am I meant to do to fix the port forwarding?

You should be able to ignore the modem bit.
Your router is the same as the standalone router when it comes to things like port forwarding.

None of that is a useful problem description. It does not say what
you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As usual,
showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
descriptions or interpretations.- ZoiinkzzJan 06, 2020Aspirant
so basically from the start i find my IPv4 from cmd ipconfig, enter that into the port forwarding/trigging section press add and enter the ports i want forwarded which is (25565) click apply and that should be it but when i go to any port checking sites it will say that the 25565 port isnt open with the server running or not. I dont see any error messages or anything like that it just doesnt show up that the ports are open on sites like canyouseeme.org
One thing you said though was if my public IP matched what it said in the Advanced Home page and it doesnt, when i go to look at it the box that says "get dynamically from ISP" is checked
Sorry if its too vague but thats practically all the info i know
