Model C6300 – 100 NAR
Recommendations for an extender to work with a Roku Streaming Stick +. Please advise. VAcdr

A single router should easily cover your home if you can centrally locate it. You'll have better performance going this route versus adding an extender. problem with extenders if that they have to recieve and retransmit. this causes a significant reduction in speed and increases the latency. When your speeds are already only 10mbps, you'll be dropping quite low.
One thing to keep in mind is that you put your speeds at "up to 10mbps". If you hardwire into it, what do you get? This is kind of key as if they're saying "up to" but its averaging only 5-7mbps then you're going to struggle with streaming.

Thats the absolute minimum and doesn't allow for much buffering ahead for content.
If you're boarderline on your bandwidth and have other devices connect, that could be whats causing you to drop lower and buffer.Also try to get your roku on the 5ghz if possible. It has quite higher throughput in comparison to 2.4ghz.
A few things you could work on such as router placment, bandwidth optimization (getting the full 10mbps), and placing your streaming devices on the best band. You could also check to see what speed upgrade would cost.
that's where I'd start.
I have done the following to increase my Bandwidth Optimization – per tips from the Netgrear Community. This done to increase quality of a Roku Streaming Stick + service.
1 – Speed 10 Mbs to 11 Mbs - by means of several speed tests
2 – Set Roku on 5ghz
3 – Set C6300 on channel 2
4 – Reduce number of connected devices to C6300
5 – Used the Netgear Wi Fi Analytics app.
If I choose to centrally locate the C6300 it would be upstairs over my connected devices at – a 12 o’clock and a 7 o’clock location. These stations would be stationary to the C6300. Due to the home construction the 12 o’clock location would be under a Vaulted Ceiling and the 7 o’clock would be under a stander second floor construction.

sounds like you've optimized to the best of your and the routers abilities. You could try either location and see how you did. otherwise your next step would be a speed increase from your ISP.
