My WiFi password got changed automatically
This morning, all of a sudden, my wifi password got changed without my knowledge. Obviously, the first thought would be if someone else changed, but that is not possible at all, as I was the only one...

Hi, my netgear account password keeps getting changed every 2 weeks or so. Is there a chance someone is trying to hack my wifi? I've changed the password everytime it logs me out of my netgear account on my iphone app. Everytime i get logged out it won't let me use the previous password so i change it with my email & then i change the wifi password aswell. 7-14 days later, it logs me out with a different password. What is cuasing this issue?

Hi dwn7,
Thank you for reaching us. This is kind weird though. We have a MyNetgear account and the password is still the same for the past year. We won't say that someone is hacking you yet. Have you tried it on your other devices like a laptop or PC?
Please do not hesitate to let me know if you need further assistance.
Regards,
Oliver

Yes, I've tried it on my macbook pro and iphone. First on the app ''Night Hawk'' it logs me out and when I try to insert my current password it tells me I have the wrong password. So I try to log in my macbook on netgear.com and it tells me the same thing that I have the wrong password. My router is the AX6 RAX50.
- VS71Jan 01, 2021AspirantI have the password issue. Wifi password changes by itself. I was convinced I was hacked. Changed my router password and wifi password. Made the password more difficult. After a few weeks same issue. I am convinced its the netgear software.

Hi dwn7 and VS71,
Please try to downgrade the firmware. Follow the steps from the link below:
