Most browsers desire the use of HTTPS instead of HTTP. Thus they will display a warning message.
Most older and current router web page use HTTP. Newer generation routers have the option of enabling HTTPS all the time. If your the only one accessing the router and using it's web page, HTTP is normal and fine to use.
