N450 – N450/CG3000Dv2 WiFi Cable Modem Router Model / Version: CG3000D v2

I can not open up the downloads it keeps timing out and asking for me to check connection. I have already disabled all firewalls and put the site on the allowed permission section. But yet again nothing. And the current version i have is definitely old i believe (V2.05.18) of the firmware and Cox definitely is no help. I need help here please, my signal keeps getting dropped every other day and i have to constantly reset the modem.

    What downloads?

What are you trying to do?

If you are trying to update the firmware on a cable modem/router – the CG3000Dv2? – forget it. That is in the hands of your Internet service provider.

What’s the latest firmware version of my NETGEAR cable modem or modem router? | Answer | NETGEAR Support

If your firmware is outdated, you cannot manually upgrade your cable modem’s or modem router’s firmware. You must contact your Internet service provider (ISP) to upgrade your firmware.

While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.

You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

    Cable Modems & Routers

In the meantime you could visit the support pages:

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.

You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.

I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
