N600 - C3700 Speed issue
Spectrum upgraded my internet service from 60 mbps to 200 mbps. I checked the speed with an ethernet cable and it was only 90 mbps while WIFI was only 50 mbps. I reset wireless router back to fact...
Basically your laptop in conjunction with an older N600 wifi devices is whats limiting your speed. You'd get faster speeds with a better laptop or with an upgraded modem/router. Or both.
I have a Dell Inspiron 5000 series 15 5567 which has Ethernet 10/100 Mbps Ethernet controller integrated on system board Wireless. The WiFi 802.11ac + Bluetooth 4.2 • WiFi 802.11b/g/n + Bluetooth 4.0. The cable is a CAT6.
At my neighbors is was able to get a WIFI speed of 233 mbps on a Spectrum modem which is 200 mbps.
In that case your Dell is never going to get speeds faster than 100 Mbps. Your Internet is faster than your PC.
