N600 speed
I have 500 mb on my Wi-Fi, so will my router and modem N600 handle the 5OO or do I need a bigger router and modem??
It’s a Netgear N600 WI-FI cable modem and router…. (Dual band 300t300) range…it saids cable modem speed up to 340 Mbps… 8 x 4 channeling bonding
Well, if it says that, then no, it can't handle the speed you ask about. It's too old. Time to catch up to current technology 🙂
do you have the C3700?
Its a pretty old/slow device.
If you're paying for 500mbps, I'd look at upgrading to one of the current generation AX devices with a docsis 3.1 modem.
If you're looking for a combo (modem/router) device, I'd look at the CAX30 or CAX80
I personally prefer the modem separate from the router so you can upgrade independently.
