NBN & Orbi Router

Can the Orbi 26 Router (LBR 1020) with Satelite be configured to connect to the NBN?

  • NBN simply stands for national broadband network for australia. It encompases everything from dsl, fibre, coax, etc.

You'd be better off to contact your regional supplier to find out what is compatible with their services that is offered.

"LBR20"?  Look for "Model" on the product label.

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your (actual) model number,
and look for Documentation.  Get the User Manual (at least).  Read.
Look for "Optional: Connect your router to a wired modem".

[...] You can connect your router to a DSL, cable, or fiber-optic
modem so that the router uses your wired modem's Internet
          connection. [...]

If we believe that, then you should be able to use it as a router
(or wireless access point) pretty much regardless of what you get from
your (unspecified) ISP.  Its 4G LTE modem section might be pretty
useless, but its routery stuff should be useful.

It might be nice to know what your particular part of the NBN
actually involves before making any expensive decisions.  But if you
already own an LBR20, then it should be possible to use it with almost
    any non-cellular ISP scheme, too.
