Need recommendation for sharing on windows 10

Hi, everyone.

I need a recommendation.

I currently have wndr3700v4. I am using Windows 10 Pro, build 1709. ReadyShare isn't working. Based on what I've read and the error messages I've encountered, this has to do with the version of smb my router uses. Don't want to lower security so it appears I'd need a new router. Can anyone recommend a new netgear model that wouldn't have this problem? In other words, a model that would support file sharing via USB with my version of Windows 10? Also, I have a 2,400 sq ft house: what whole-home model would be good that also meets my aforemention need?
