Need to change my R6250 after serving me well for 8+ years
I am out of touch with the WiFi router market as I have been using my Netgear R6250 for 8+ years now. Unfortunately wifi devices started to struggle to get an IP in the last couple of days, and I am considering a replacement. What could be an "equivalent" 2024 replacement for a long-lasting family-oriented yet nerdy solution?

Equivelent?
Thats a tough one as we're several generations newer.
One key question is what is your budget?
There's options from $100 to $1500 depending on your specs that you want and performance.
What speeds do you pay for and get?
Thats also key

Sound advice from plemans. I'd just add that you might like to plug your needs into the product pages.

Then check back here for reports on the things you are considering, but remember that people turn up in this community with problems, not compliments. Look at reviews on Amazon, for example.
But first, what makes you think that your R6250 isn't still up to snuff? Newest isn't always greatest.
